Wellness Massage is my own unique take on the typical Swedish massage.
In addition to traditional Swedish massage, I combine Shiatsu compression, myofascial releases and foot reflexology among other techniques to create a truly therapeutic and healing experience for you so that you may reconnect with yourself, show up in your life in a more present and focused way and learn to love your body more.
Wellness massage, along with most other forms of bodywork, help reduce overall stress and lower the levels of cortisol in the body. Chronic stress and elevated cortisol levels increase risk for depression, mental illness, and a lower life expectancy.
Doctors have long known that chronically elevated cortisol levels interfere with learning and memory function, lower immune function and bone density, may cause weight gain, high blood pressure and high cholesterol and is one of the leading causes of heart disease. You don’t have time for any of this, do you? I didn’t think so.
